Information Technology plays an important role in many aspects of life such as education, communication, national defense, especially in business. It has brought significant changes to the business structure as well as the ways people doing business. Information technology has been applied to various fields of business, and accounting is one of them. Thanks for the benefits it brought about, Information Technology should be widely adopted. However, in Vietnam, its application in accounting still has to face many obstacles, particularly for small and medium enterprises. Viettel Corporation is one of the leading businesses working in the area of providing telecommunication services. It is also known for successful application of Information Technology in business in general and accounting in particular. Taking the case study of Viettel to see the effectiveness and factors affecting the application of computerized accounting system will be meaningful to other Vietnamese small and medium enterprises to withdraw experience for their own application.
