In Vietnam, theERPmarketis gettingquite exciting,a lot of businessapplicationERPneedsto changemanagement practicesand production activitiesof its business, but business willnotgettheinsightsin this field. ERPis not just acomputerizedsolutionbut also amode of management. Inthatbusinesswants to succeedmust firstchangethepathin viewof their management, even to take risks. ERP is a solution to management accountants. The thesis focuses on such issues as researching into the nature of ERP and difficulties that businesses face when they carry out implement ERP as well as researching into domestic and international ERP modules, which leads to building a general ERP module for Vietnamese commercial banks. Finally, there are some proposed approaches in improving the ERP system for Vietnamese businesses in general and commercial banks in particular. The purpose of this research is to find out the real effect of Information Technology and Decision Support System on the role of management accountants in the workplace, especially its effectiveness on motivating managers and accountants in providing the true and fair financial statement and performing other tasks in the company.
